Pride Across the Bridge Joins Evergreen Social Impact

Feb 5, 2025

The 2SLGBTQIA+ community in East King County has long struggled with visibility, representation, and access to essential resources. Unlike neighboring Seattle, where queer-friendly spaces and services are more established, many Eastside residents have historically felt overlooked. Enter Pride Across the Bridge (PAB)—a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to uplifting, connecting, and advocating for the queer community in this often-underserved region.

Founded in January 2023, Pride Across the Bridge has quickly become a vital resource, hosting free or sliding-scale events and programs that foster belonging, creativity, and support. From Rainbow Elder Breakfasts to QTPOC Collective gatherings and their flagship annual event, Redmond Pride, PAB is filling a long-standing gap for LGBTQIA+ individuals on the Eastside.

Now, in an exciting new chapter, PAB has joined Evergreen Social Impact (ESI) as a fiscally sponsored partner. This partnership allows the organization to expand its reach, strengthen its operations, and continue its life-changing work with greater sustainability.

Why This Partnership Matters

Prior to this sponsorship, PAB had struggled with finding a local fiscal sponsor that could provide both alignment and accessibility. By partnering with Evergreen Social Impact, PAB gains administrative support, financial oversight, and expanded fundraising opportunities, allowing them to focus on what they do best—serving and strengthening the queer community in East King County.

The Impact of Pride Across the Bridge

Through community-driven programs and advocacy, PAB has already made a remarkable difference:

  • Redmond Pride: In 2024, this annual celebration featured 65+ vendors, 25 performers, and nearly 900 attendees, marking a historic moment for Eastside’s queer community.
  • The Big Book of All Things Queer: A continuously updated resource directory connecting individuals with local, vetted, and compassionate services.
  • How Far We’ve Come Art Installation: A transformative public art project in Duvall, fostering dialogue and visibility for LGBTQIA+ residents.
  • Recognition & Awards: PAB was honored with GenPride’s Rainbow Partner Award and the Nonprofit Leader Award from the Bellevue Chamber for their outstanding work in advocacy and inclusion.

What’s Next for PAB?

With the support of ESI, Pride Across the Bridge is now positioned to:

  • Expand programming to reach even more marginalized individuals.
  • Strengthen partnerships with local businesses, schools, and healthcare providers.
  • Secure additional funding to ensure sustainable growth and long-term impact.
  • Continue breaking barriers and advocating for policies that foster inclusivity across the Eastside.

Join Us in Supporting This Work

This partnership is a huge step forward for LGBTQIA+ inclusion in East King County, but it’s only the beginning. Whether through donations, volunteer work, or advocacy, you can be part of the movement that ensures every queer individual in the region feels seen, heard, and supported.
